The St. Mark Parish in Ol Moran, founded in 1997, belongs to the Diocese of Nyahururu (Kenya) and is also a Diocesan Mission of the Patriarchate of Venice. Located on the central region of the highlands of Laikipia County, close to the equator line, the territory covered by the parish extends for an area of almost 1500 square kilometres in a rural and semi-arid area, where about 10.000 people live in several villages.
The parish is formed by 20 local churches or chapels scattered in the area, each one with its own small Christian communities, groups and associations.

International religious congregation of missionary nuns, founded in 1978 by mother Vincenza Minet and recognized from the Holy See as Institute of Pontifical Right in 1999. The General House is located in Rome (Italy) while other communities are settled in Italy, Brasil, Camerun, Philippins, Kenya, Madagascar and Poland. The Ol Moran religious community, founded in 2002, is the oldest presence of the congregation in Kenya.
